Hawk and the Wild is a singer/songwriter who's real name is Jimmy Wiltfalk. He plays most live gigs alone as a one man band but he is sometimes accompanied on stage by his friends. Jimmy writes both music and lyrics while also recording and premixing most of it in his own homestudio.
Jimmy is working on some new material and the first single, The Wave, was released in march 2018. More new songs are in the making and the working name of the project is Life And Death Of Old Mrs Ocean. The genre is still singer/songwriter, with inspiration from a life near the ocean, surfing, diving and a bit roots rock, reggea and country. As usual his lyrics take a bit of a political standpoint and this time it's on protection of the ocean and plastic pollution.
Hopefully the listeners find it to be something new and special still honoring the inspiration from Current Swell, Kim Churchill, Wake Owl, Jack Johnson, Ben Howard, Xavier Rudd and many more. Spotify users can find a playlist here: Inspiration In Making: Life And Death Of Old Mrs Ocean

While not scribbling on a new song Jimmy might be riding some kind of board or speaking for human rights. A commitment he drew attention to with the antiracist social media charity project and single “The dream is still alive”.
Version 1 was released as a musicvideo on youtube and also for streaming on spotify/itunes on MLK day 2016. The song have been in first place on the Swedish Independent Chart and the musicvideo have had great success in Germany, France and England. Jimmys goal is to release a new version on Martin Luther King day the third monday in january each year. Up until now 3 versions have been released.
